Welcome back to school! I am so excited to see all the new faces for First Grade! The first few weeks of school we will be working on assessments for writing, reading and math. We will also get to know each other and practice manners and classroom rules! I look forward to a wonderful school year with both you and your child!

School Rules to remember
General Rules and Expectations here at GEA:
Classroom
1. Show respect to yourself and others.
2.Try your best.
3. Complete every task you start.
*If your child has a difficult day, they will bring home a notice so you can be advised of what to further discuss with them. We use the turning cards as a visual reminder to the student of how they are handling themselves.
Lunch and Recess
*Students are required to bring their own lunch. Please send the needed utensils for your child's Lunch. Sodas are NOT allowed at school.
*Students must follow the instructions of the Lunch Monitors at all times. Students are given 30 minutes for lunch, they are expected to eat for 15 minutes and then have 15 minutes to play. Times may be adjusted as needed by monitors.
*Students are responsible for cleaning up their own area after eating as well as picking up one piece of campus trash before playing.
*Monkey Bar Rules- 1.Girls must wear shorts under dresses and skirts to play on bars. 2. No benches or other objects under bars. 3. One at a time on the bars. 4. No swinging is allowed. 5. No playing chicken.
*Tackle Football or tag games that involve capture or grabbing others are not allowed.
